The trailer of Rani Mukerji‘s comeback film left her fans enchanted. The diva who was on a maternity break will be making a comeback on the big screen after a break of three long years. Rani was last seen in director Pradeep Sarkar’s 2014 crime-drama film ‘Mardaani’. The actress who has a huge fan following is taking some extra interest to make ‘Hichki’ a grand success at the box office.
Rani’s film is an inspiring tale of a woman who converts her weakness into strength. As the film is nearing release the makers are all set to kickstart the promotions. Rani will start promoting her film on an auspicious day of ‘Makar Sankranti’.
Sources revealed, “Rani wants to start her promotions for ‘Hichki’ on Makar Sankranti, which is a holy day. The festival is dedicated to the Sun God, and it marks the beginning of a six-month long auspicious period known as Uttarayana. It is a day to pray and express thanks for success and prosperity. It couldn’t have been a better day to start the promotions.”
Sources added, “There is a slew of activities that have been planned. The team wants to drive home the message of the film right from the start. Ahmedabad is the first city that Rani is visiting. She will visit eight more cities to promote Hichki.”
As Makar Sankranti in Gujarat is celebrated by flying kites from the rooftops. Rani will also fly a kite as part of the promotions.
Directed by Siddharth P Malhotra, ‘Hichki’ is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 23rd February.
