We’ve heard a lot that went down between filmmaker Karan Johar and actress Kangana Ranaut. The nepotism controversy is a year old now and the two are back in news yet again.
A few days back we heard KJo say that if the channel invites Kangana as the guest on his upcoming reality show ‘India’s Next Superstar’, he’d gladly welcome her with all respect.
Now we hear that Kangana is actually going to be on the show as a guest judge. She confirmed the same to Mirror saying, “I am looking forward to being on the show. It is a professional commitment for which I’m being paid. What is delightful is that Karan is okay with doing the show with me and seems to be slowly warming up to me.”
This means that one of the biggest controversies of Bollywood seems to be seeing an end. About the brawl, she said, “I am not fighting Karan Johar, I am fighting male chauvinism.”
She further said how the film industry was not a small studio given to KJo by his dad, but it belongs to every Indian, especially the ones who came as an outsider.
The same way, Karan’s show is a platform for the outsiders. She then referred to the show’s tagline, ‘Na khandaan, na sifarish… Bollywood ko hai sirf talent ka intezaar’, and said, “I am the epitome of the tagline being a self-made woman and actress myself, which is precisely why the channel wants me.”
Talking about the recent media interaction that Karan had about Kangana, he had said, “Our heart is big, our house is open to all. We will happily, lovingly and respectfully welcome her on the show.”
Kangana’s reaction to this was, “I’m happy that Karan is making me feel so welcome, but I think I have been worthy of every platform I’ve been on. I’ve earned my place and deserve to be on it. Nobody has to open any doors for me I am capable of opening all the doors myself.”
